Mongolia, divided between Afghanistan, India and China, is a region with large thermal fluctuations. These cold temperatures allow the production of this wonderful Cashmere. Here, in fact, lives today the traditional breeding of goats Hyrcus that repeats year after year transhumance and rites to respond to the harsh natural conditions of the region.

The fibers that give life to this Cashmere have a fine micronage, between 14 and 15 microns, which gives the yarn an unparalleled softness. Scientific research has revealed that this reduced thickness conceals an "air chamber" which naturally produces the functions of thermo-regulation and thermo-transpiration.

The collection of these precious fibers responds to the sensitive relationship that man has developed towards a nature so strong and tenacious: in spring, when the climate becomes milder, shepherds take the undercoat from the Hyrcus goats by "combing", a completely harmless process for animals. The combing, in fact, takes place by stroking the goat with a small comb only in the parts of the chin and girdle, where the fibers are more dense, compact and soft.

One of the reasons for the high quality lies in the very low quantity of the highest quality fiber. Just think that from a single Hyrcus goat you get about 150-200 grams of sub plant every year.
